Day 8 started with a rainbow.

That happens when it’s raining.

The wind blowing across the water made a lot of mist.

And it was hard to tell the difference between the trail and the lake.

The lake was bluer.

Even though it’s named grey lake.

It had big waves from the wind.

The flowers were wet.

There were supposed to be mountains.

Matt was very impressed.

He was slightly more impressed when the end was within sight.

But he wouldn’t stop for a picture.

There was a lot more snow on the mountains when we finished than when we started.

Day 7 was the 6th day of waking up in a tent

If you count what Kerri’s doing as waking up.

Our tent was at the foot of the scenic mountain

And at one point in the morning you could almost see it!

And the smaller one next to it

And the smaller hills

That didn’t last for long.

The clouds rolled in

And it got wet

And windy

And grey

ALthough sometimes you could still see mountain tops.

There was a forest fire a few years ago and lots of areas hadn’t recovered yet.

We saw a bird

It didn’t hold still for long.

We saw some spikeys

And one that was too blunt to be called a spikey.

And we saw more red flowers.

There is a turn off here to go to another view point to see spikeys.

Because the O-loop isn’t really an O, it has  two lines in it.

Our Day 1 was the first line.

This was the second line.

We did not feel like climbing to another viewpoint

We were quite done with the O-loop

Plus an O with two lines isn’t a letter

So we decided to stick with the Q-loop.

On Day 3 we saw a bunny’s backside.

And a Rufous-collared Sparrow

And went down a steep hill.
