We got our own private cruise ship.

We did not pay for a private cruise ship. In fact we got a discount because they were having trouble booking this week.

It also wasn’t really supposed to be a cruise, the boat was supposed to be parked and we were supposed to just use it as a hotel. But after being parked all year they had to exercise the motor.

So we got a private cruise ship. That towed our private smaller boats.

It had a private buffet.

And a private rooftop seating area.

With a view of the Milky Way at night.

The rooms are the full width of the ship, so you can open the windows on both sides and let the wind blow through.

And listen to the sounds of nature be drowned out by the diesel engine.

Waldo stared.

And slept.

And licked.

And yawned.

And licked and yawned at the same time.

And licked and stared at the same time.

And licked and slept at the same time.

That’s most of the things jaguars do in a day.

Other than making funny faces.

And getting into funny positions.

Because some places are hard to lick.

Even with a very long tongue.

But still need to be licked.

Or even nibbled.

Goodbye Waldo.

This is Waldo.

Waldo is a jaguar.

He has a lot of other names.

But all of them are made up by tourists.

And he doesn’t answer to any of them.

So we’re sticking with Waldo.

Which is what Kerri’s Mom called him.

Because he’s hard to spot.

This may be his worst name.

Because all jaguars are hard to spot.

That’s what their spots are for.
