  • Seagull

The wind was very strong in Bariloche.

    image

This seagull was flying as hard as he could.

    image

    And getting absolutely nowhere.

    image

So Kerri took roughly a billion pictures of him.

    image

    He didn’t understand why.

    image

    He’s just a seagull.

    image

    Minding his own business.

    image

    Soaring majestically.

    image

She is such a strange human.

    image

It’s probably best to keep away from her.

    image

But that would require successfully flying away.

    image

    Which he really couldn’t do.

    image

    He was basically stationary.

    image

    Was he having fun?

    image

    Kerri was.

  • Cerro Campanario

Cerro Campanario is a big hill we climbed.

    image

It has good views of the lakes.

    image

    And back at the town.

    image

    There were condors soaring around.

    image

But not over the prettier side.

    image

    Condors like the mountains.

    image

    Not the pretty lakes.

    image

But they also like to eat rotting dead things.

    image

So we don’t trust their taste.

    image

We took a lot of pictures.

    image

It was hard work to get to the top.

    image

And we didn’t want to waste it.

    image

There was a doghouse at the top.

    image

Next to the gondola that the smart people took up.

    image

    But we’re not that smart.

  • Bariloche

    This is Bariloche.

    image

    From our balcony.

    image

    It is very pretty.

    image

The water in the lake is very clear.

    image

The mountains still have snow on them.

    image

The town is on a hill next to the lake.

    image

Some days the wind was stronger and the water got a bit rougher.

    image

This angry bird had a chick but wouldn’t let us get close for some reason.

  • Buenos Aires

We didn’t take many pictures in Buenos Aires.

    image

    This was a park

    image

    This was a bookstore.

    image

That used to be a theatre

    image

We picked up some cash because some hotels require cash.

    image

That’s a bit over $1000 Canadian. They only had $1000 peso bills which are basically $1 Canadian. The biggest bills they print are about $20, but they are hard to get. To pay for a week at a hotel took a lot of counting.

    image

It takes up a lot of space in our backpacks.

  • Have we Mentioned that the Water was Falling?

    The water was still falling.

    image

Foolish tourists were still sailing into it.

    image

    The plants were still drowning.

    image

    It was still very pretty.

    image

    We were still taking pictures.

    image

    And getting misted.

    image

    The birds were still chirping.

    image[5]

    The tegus were still skittering

    image[8]

The butterflies were still swarming around puddles trying to get salt.

    image[2]

But eventually we left and took a picture of three countries. We are in Argentina, across to the right is Brazil and across to the left is Paraguay.

    image

Those rivers don’t mix either, and the division between them is way more obvious than the one in the Amazon everyone gets so excited about.
