  • Have we Mentioned that the Water was Falling?

    The water was still falling.

    image

Foolish tourists were still sailing into it.

    image

    The plants were still drowning.

    image

    It was still very pretty.

    image

    We were still taking pictures.

    image

    And getting misted.

    image

    The birds were still chirping.

    image[5]

    The tegus were still skittering

    image[8]

The butterflies were still swarming around puddles trying to get salt.

    image[2]

But eventually we left and took a picture of three countries. We are in Argentina, across to the right is Brazil and across to the left is Paraguay.

    image

Those rivers don’t mix either, and the division between them is way more obvious than the one in the Amazon everyone gets so excited about.

  • More of the Other Side of Water

    This is water.

    image

When gravity pulls it it moves down.

    image

When it reaches a cliff it falls.

    image

This attracts large quantities of animals known as tourists.

    image

Scientists still don’t know why waterfalls attract tourists.

    image

It seems to have something to do with cell phones.

    image

Cell phones can make the waterfall look sharp

    image

Or blurry, without so much as a tripod or filter

    image

But they’re basically just faking it.

    image

Which takes all the fun out of it.

    image

    But that doesn’t stop Matt.

    image

    Blurry.

    image

    Sharp.

    image

    Blurry.

    image

    Sharp.

    image

    Blurry.

    image

    Sharp.

    image

I just want to remind everyone this isn’t Kerri’s fault.

    image

    This is all Matt

  • The Other Side of Water

We went to see Iguazu falls from the Argentinian side

    image

There was no water falling from the sky this time.

    image

On this side you can walk right over the waterfalls

    image

The water levels above the falls were very high.

    image

So there was still plenty of water to fall.

    image

I don’t think there is ever a shortage of falling water

    image

But the plants at the top probably aren’t usually submerged.

    image

They always have goofy tourists hanging over top of them though.

    image

We didn’t go for a swim.

    image

    The water was pretty muddy.

    image

And the waterslides didn’t look very safe.

    image

    We stayed on the bridges.

    image

Looking out at the falling water

    image

    And the mist.

    image

I wonder what happened to that old bridge out there?
