We picked up some cash because some hotels require cash.

That’s a bit over $1000 Canadian. They only had $1000 peso bills which are basically $1 Canadian. The biggest bills they print are about $20, but they are hard to get. To pay for a week at a hotel took a lot of counting.

It takes up a lot of space in our backpacks.


That’s a beautiful bookstore. I wonder why Argentina doesn’t print larger denominations – I thought Chainsaw Man was supposed to be some sort of economics expert.
I’m sure they will eventually. Inflation tends to move faster than bureaucracy.
