The girls named her.

She was also hard to spot.

But they can’t all be Waldos.

She was only hiding behind a little branch.

But she was still hard to see.

She was very pretty.

It was early in the morning.

So she was having a tongue bath.

And snacking on some grass.

We saw some howler monkeys

They were looking for leaves.

They were surrounded by leaves.

So this should have been an easy task.

But they are very picky about their leaves.

I guess I’m picky about what leaves I eat too.

But I can’t hang upside down.

Or grip branches with my feet

Or with my tail.

I only search for leaves at the grocery store.

I wouldn’t make a very good monkey.

Jaguarland is part of the Pantanal that has tons of fish.

Tons of fish means tons of caiman, which eat the fish.

It also means tons of other things that eat the fish, like cormorants.

But they’re not important.

In Jaguarland, everyone is looking for jaguars, which eat the caiman.

You go out in boats, looking along the shore for jaguars.

When someone spots one, they radio all the other boats.

Which all race over to see the jaguar.

Do you see him?

He’s in there.

Right in the middle of the screen.

We got our own private cruise ship.

We did not pay for a private cruise ship. In fact we got a discount because they were having trouble booking this week.

It also wasn’t really supposed to be a cruise, the boat was supposed to be parked and we were supposed to just use it as a hotel. But after being parked all year they had to exercise the motor.

So we got a private cruise ship. That towed our private smaller boats.

It had a private buffet.

And a private rooftop seating area.

With a view of the Milky Way at night.

The rooms are the full width of the ship, so you can open the windows on both sides and let the wind blow through.

And listen to the sounds of nature be drowned out by the diesel engine.
