  • Drinking Lions

You do not want to mess with a drinking lion.

    image

So you definitely don’t want to mess with 4 drinking lions.

    image

Let alone how ever many other lions were hiding around this construction site, which seemed to have been abandoned for some reason.

    image

There were many good places to hide.

    image

Including this nice stone lion den.

    image

Which was probably built just for them.

    image

And it was so conveniently located right near the water.

    image

    Where they could drink together.

    image

Without breaking eye contact with you.

    image

Just to make sure you know they are keeping an eye on you.

  • Etosha Birds

There were more hornbills in Etosha.

    image

They are cool looking and this one was trying to eat something.

    image

Here’s another corey bastard like we saw in the Serengeti

    image_thumb4

This is a cool iridescent bird but I can’t remember the name of it. It isn’t on a snowy branch, but rather the dust is very fine and white and coated everything next to the road and make it look like it was covered in frost.

  • Etosha Oryx

    This is an oryx.

    image

They are very recognizable with their really long sharp horns.

    image

They don’t really need to come to water holes because they get enough water solely from their food.

    image

They are also call gemsbok and pretty tasty.
