This is Fish River Canyon.
It’s in Namabia.
It is huge.
We haven’t been to the grand canyon so we can’t really compare it to that.
It seemed pretty impressive.
There are a few plants growing around here and they are really weird.
Wouldn’t you agree?
The bark is cool looking.
Here’s another odd plant.
I think they were related to aloe but I can’t remember anymore.
In a couple places there were these little ones all over the place.
Other places looked pretty empty with just us and rocks.
At different times of the year they have organized hikes down into the canyon but it is very weather dependent as the temperatures can be above 40C in some places.
The canyon winds all through the area.
We stayed to watch sunset which was quite pretty, but not as red as most African sunsets we had seen.
