Queenstown is a nice little mountain town.
On a lake full of ducks.
In the middle of the Southern Alps.
It is also the birthplace of bungee jumping.
Where someone decided it would be a good idea to jump off of this bridge.
Into this river.
With a rope attached to hopefully prevent their dead body from flowing down this valley.
You can replicate this experiment for the bargain price of $10/second. We decided not to participate.
It’s a bird!

It’s a SHARK BOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It jumps!
It rolls onto it’s side.
It dives under water.
It’s 1/4 of the speed of a speeding bullet.
And it’s $10/minute!
Which is actually a relatively slow way to spend money in Queenstown. (Bungee jumping is $10/second).
On our way south we took the scenic detour from the scenic route to experience all the scenery New Zealand had to offer. One of the stops was at a beach where the waves were crashing very strongly against the shore. It was also very windy and cold.
The shore stayed foamy the whole time with the constant crashing.
On the cliffs to the west the water shot up at least 30-40 feet up.
The waves were fun to watch (from the warmth of the car that is).
We stopped for a short walk in the rain to New Zealand’s most photographed waterfall.

Kerri got to try out life as a dung beetle.
