We woke up to rain at 5 am. It continued to rain all morning.
Uluru was wet and started dripping water in some places.
It gave the rock a much different colour.
The strata lines became much more visible with the rain as well.
Normally it would be more of a reddish, orange colour like you can see in the covered area.
It wasn’t raining quite hard enough to have water cascading down but you can see the main tracks where it drains down.
All the water drains down into a pool. However there was no water pooling anywhere around Uluru when we were there.
Despite the weather Kerri stayed optimistic.
As we were about to leave, the clouds began to break.
