The Mamalahoa Trail is over 50km long.

It goes from Kona to Puako.

We were far to lazy for that so we only visited the part next to the mall that had petroglyphs.

And rock shelters.

They don’t look like they would provide much shelter.

Ancient Hawaiians had proportions that make Barbie look realistic.

Or maybe not so ancient Hawaiians.

Some of the petroglyphs might date back to the 1400s.

But a lot are obviously Colonial era.

There were definitely a lot of them.

Mostly circles and people.

We could of course read all of them.

This guy is doing deadlifts. That’s how he got such a wide chest.

This guy is very bad at juggling.

This guy is falling off a bicycle.

These are very skinny acrobats.

That’s as far down the trail as we got.
