WARNING: Don’t read this if you don’t want to see a komodo dragon eating a small furry animal. (Duh)
At the Toronto Zoo we saw the happiest komodo dragon we have ever seen.
But he wasn’t happy because he was just basking in the sun on a beautiful day.
No, komodo dragons are evil killing machines.
With forked tongues, like all evil things.
And he was stalking his prey.
Slowly but steadily.
It took him quite a while given that his prey was already dead.
But eventually he found it.
He had trouble picking it up at first.
He couldn’t seem to get a grip on it.
But finally he got it the right way around.
And then swallowed it in a couple of gulps.
He swallowed it whole, without chewing.
Then he licked his lips.
And smiled. He looks so innocent if you ignore the little bit of blood on his lips.
