How Kerri’s Hair Became Pink

This is what Kerri’s hair looked like before pinkification.

Image

Then Matt did some chemistry.

Image

Then Matt cut a chunk of Kerri’s hair off and dipped it into his concoction in an old fruit cup on the kitchen counter.

Image

Then Kerri had to put her hair into layers using non-metallic clips.

Image

Kerri didn’t have non-metallic hair clips, so she used IKEA chip clips.

Image

What could possibly go wrong?

Image

Bleaching is permanent, so Kerri didn’t want to do too much. So she bought a highlight kit with a special brush to just bleach little stripes of hair.

Image

Matt put the first layer in in nice stripes.

Image

Then the other layers got added and it all got mixed together.

Image

Whatever, as long as it’s symmetrical …

Image

Errr…maybe as long as it’s pink…

Image

OK, the bleach worked.

Image

It doesn’t look too bad, which is good, because Kerri’s stuck with that until she cuts it off.

Image

Now for the pinkification!

Image

It’s pink! But a bit uneven. Maybe a bit of wave will help…

Image

Oh no! Kerri of Green Gables is back!

Image

Yeah…the wave didn’t really help.

  1. That looks very stylish on Kerri, Nice job Matt!! People go and pay hundreds of dollars for hairdressers to achieve the same effect. I must say, I’m impressed!
