The geese were also fighting with each other.

One bit the others wing.

And got towed along for a ride.

It was very loud.

And confusing.

Eventually the victim escaped.

Kerri was tormenting the big geese.

This is generally not a good idea because geese are vicious.

With nasty claws.

But these geese were wet.

And they were easy to sneak up on with their butts in the air.

And when they pull their heads out of the water they are really confused.

And wet.

Very wet.

This hummingbird was at Burnaby Lake.

It poofed itself up and looked really funny.

It was grooming itself.

And sitting still so we could get pictures.

It thought it owned the whole forest.

And it was keeping an eye on us.

Except when it blinked.

Wow Kerri took too many pictures.

Even the hummingbird was giving her funny looks.

But she kept taking pictures anyway.

It scratched its bum.

And its armpit.

But Kerri still didn’t leave.

Poor bird.

Finally it had to fly away.

This is a giant bug.

A really big bug. On the left there is the receptacle on our balcony, about 2″x3″.

And here she is next to a loonie.

The body is over an inch long. Almost an inch and a half.

It looks even bigger with the wings unfolded.

It has beady little eyes.

It can fly, but not very well.

We got a look at it’s underside when it landed on the screen, but that didn’t help us identify it.

Is it a monster mosquito waiting to suck all our blood?
