The Adventures of Kerri & Matt

The spikeys were right behind us.

But we couldn’t see them at all.

So we turned back the way we came from.

We couldn’t see the town either, because it was too far away.

It’s somewhere over there

There was still a lot of snow on the mountain.

It completely covered the lake, so we couldn’t see that either.

You could see the edges of the big spikey when the clouds blew a bit.

Matt was cold and didn’t want to wait for the clouds to blow away.

But Kerri insisted long enough to see a whole third of a spikey

Then we walked back down.

And saw a bird.

And the clouds were still there.

By the time they cleared we were far away again.

And then we made it back to town

We left town early

To go on a long walk

To get to the spikeys.

We crossed rivers

And were blown by winds

On rocky paths

Through the wilderness

And the spikeys hid behind the clouds.

But we kept walking towards them anyway.

Even though they still looked really far away.

And they were getting closer very slowly.

Other mountains were very pretty too.

There were even pretty fungi

But you don’t have to go up and up and up to see fungi

You have to go up

And up and up

To not see the spikeys because the clouds are in the way.

We hiked to a waterfall.

That was too easy.

So we hiked up above the waterfall.

That was a silly idea.

There was barely a trail.

So we abandoned that idea.
