Bussing through Peru

The buses are double deckers, and sitting in the front as they drive through busy cities is the closest we will ever get to the experience of riding the Knight Bus.

The meals are surprisingly good. Many were better than in flight meals (when they used to provide such things).

This was the most luxurious bus of the trip. The seats go to about 160 degrees and there is tonnes of leg room. We were stuck with all these other crazy people though.

Not all adds in Peru are limited to signs. Here was a UFO stealing some coke.

After driving through the desert it was nice to see some green patches.

A little bit of water makes all the difference in these areas.

Northern Peru looks mainly like this and was quite a departure from the lush greenery of Ecuador. Although as soon as we got further south these straight patches were missed as we wove back and forth to get through the Andes.
