Tenth Day of Christmas Dinner

On the 10th day of Christmas Dinner my true love reheated for me

The last of the Christmas chunks.

Before that we visited the foundations of the Emperor’s palace.

The building is all old roman palace.

The basement was where oil and wine were pressed and stored.

image

The palace was built on top of water springs.

image

Not hot, or really all that drinkable, but rather highly sulphurous.

image

Even back then they thought that would make everything better, as opposed to stressing the lungs.

These are the stone pipes that the Romans used to pipe their sewage into the sea. If you think that’s disgusting, the Medieval residents just dumped theirs directly into this cellar until it was full.

There were a few open areas where there are now palm trees growing there.

Sadly after dinner the cookies were all gone.

A crazed cookie monster was sighted that is believed to be responsible for this tragedy.
