Zoo

Kerri went on another zoo adventure. It was cold out so she took a bunch of pictures indoors. Even the snakes were all curled up to keep warm.

The rhinos are very pregnant and will be giving birth soon.

image

The sloth was looking as cuddly as usual, but again she wasn’t allowed to take it home.

image

It was awake this time though.

image

Kerri was surprised to see it wasn’t doing either of the two things sloths do: eat or sleep.

image

The beaver was also awake. Maybe the cold was keeping it up.

image

With no trees to chew, he was only left with the leaves that fall into the enclosure.

image

It didn’t seem too happy about not being able to cut down trees.

image

It was finished hanging out and decided to head back into the water.

image

Their fur is so warm and waterproof it wasn’t bothered by the cold.

image

Okay, so Kerri took more pictures than Matt had anticipated so now he’s just filling space.

image

We had a rule that all pictures require a sentence between them and I’m not about to be the one to break that plan.

image

Awesome, new animals. So these guys were clearly just hanging out by the heat lamp.

image

The frogs are in such a warm humid enclosure they don’t mind wandering around all the time. Don’t they look so cool?image

It was probably quiet at the zoo so the baboons were checking out Kerri as she made her rounds through the park.

I was not expecting this angle of photo. It looks super weird with the reflections in the eyes.

Cheetahs always look cool. No babies in this photo though, must not have been easy to spot as that’s the real reason Kerri was walking through this area. Maybe there’s a follow-up post of more baby cats. You’ll just have to wait and see. (The babies were not out. I don’t think they like the cold)image
