  • Merry Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house both Matthew and Kerri were stirring because it was turkey dinner time.

We may have gone a little overboard (26 pounds!) for the two of us.

    image

Here’s the first of 45+ meals.

    image

In true fine dining we ate on the couch while watching Christmas Eve on Sesame Street and A Muppet Family Christmas.

Here are the next 11 full meals and the rest of the bird to carve in the background.

The eight containers on the right are all packed up for freezing along with the bones. I don’t think they’ll make it to November this year, but we’ll see what happens. image

Finally, we washed it down with a glass of wine for Matt and glass of advent calendar gummies for Kerri (thanks again Auntie Doris). Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

  • Gorillas

Charles was having a bad day.

    image

    He was very grumpy.

    image

He is very old so he doesn’t have many teeth.

    image

And he sometimes seems half senile.

    image

But he is still very big, so you don’t want to be around when he gets grumpy.

    image

And today he was very grumpy (and tired).

    image

His wife, Josephine, is even older.

    image

She was not impressed by Charles’s grumpiness.

    image

The others were keeping a close eye on him.

    image

And often cowering up where Charles couldn’t reach them.

    image

Although occasionally the baby tried to play.

    image

    Josephine remained unimpressed.

    image

    But lazy.

    image

    Gorillas have weird feet.

    image

But from some angles they look pretty normal.
