The Adventures of Kerri & Matt

Matt was not impressed by the fancy Colonial house

It had weird needlepoint

And expensive but uncomfortable looking chairs

It had big rooms

But teeny tiny staircases

There was lots of pottery in the kitchen

And a weird little oven

And a big stove

The chapel was bigger than some churches we’ve seen

It has a little courtyard with a fountain in the middle

And a creepy hollow eyed goat cow

We went to watch people dance in their underwear.

They had really pretty underwear.

Most of them had more elaborate costumes but then stripped down to their underwear.

They flipped upside down.

They stood on each other’s backs.

And gave each other hugs

Even though they didn’t seem to like each other very much.

This was Kerri’s favourite.

She called him the pretty blue grinch.

Because he fought the Santa skeletons.

This is a church.

This is a steeple

This is a square without many people.

Kerri should leave the poetry for the people in the Arts Center.

Puebla’s buildings are colourful

The benches face away from the street toward the colourful buildings.

Matt had a shot with goat cheese. It was tasty.

Some of the doorways were also colourful.

And there were colourful banners overhead.

Kerri made Matt stand in the picture frame because that’s what picture frames are for

The street with the markets is actually prettier without the frame, but that’s cheating.

The sky was pretty at sunset.

But it wasn’t as colourful as the buildings

Matt ate black mole, which is chocolate

Kerri had red mole, which the guide said was not spicy. She lied. This was the day after Kerri had trouble eating a potato taco with no sauce because it was too spicy. Mexico is not going well for Kerri.

Matt drank Pulque (agave wine)

Puebla has a fancy library

With profane history

They also have a fancy church

We ate at a restaurant for zombies

And hung out at the pool with a pinata.
