The Verglas 40 (Women's) is a highly technical mountain pack ready for rock, ice, glacier, snow and mixed environments and the gear that accompanies those disciplines. Built specifically for alpinism, Verglas combines rapid access from the top and side with refined accommodation for tool attachment. Another in a series of mountain packs that utilize EXPED’s original-and-still-outstanding thermo-molded “mountain pro” suspension system. This tried-and-true pack-to-human interface is sleek, surprisingly comfortable, and stable with full day-loads.
The Verglas pack is built with super durable 210-denier Robic HD ripstop nylon and water resistant 2,500mm water column-rated carbonate polyurethane coating. A thermo-formed next-to-body foam panel protects the wearer from pack contents and works in concert with the removable internal foam frame board to stabilize the load. A variety of equipment attachment point options are available to suit all your climbing and alpine equipment needs.
The women’s version features a smaller 23.6 x 11.8” back panel and shorter, proportionally cut shoulder straps.
