Form and performance — can one exist without the other? It shouldn't. The CYBEX VR3 resistance strength line exercises the theory that form and performance belong together. VR3 is a collection of machines that combine striking appearance, excellent performance, genuine comfort and accessibility — without sacrificing the goal of functionality. If you want form and performance, the VR3 line delivers both. The VR3 dependent motion offers a feeling of security to new and average users. By having both arms working together in a fixed plane, the exercise feels better controlled for a comfortable and secure training movement. The VR3 diverging path of motion mirrors the natural way the human arms move. It provides a more complete range of motion with constant torque at the shoulder. This is the commercial strength line that competes with the best others have to offer. A group of machines that combines striking appearance with rugged durability, VR3 has been engineered to take the tough punishment a heavy duty commercial environment requires. And it works for the highly supervised gyms as well as the self-serve facility. The VR3 Row provides a descending path of motion with an optimized diverging pattern for the arms while maintaining a near neutral wrist position. To keep the look of VR3 in a low profile package, the floor pivot with a unique, unequal length four- bar linkage provides a near linear path of motion for consistent loading at the shoulder. Dual foot bars promote torso stabilization consistent with proper lifting technique. This means the lower back is working as a stabilizer which strengthens it at the same time. The adjustable chest pad can provide even greater stability if desired. However, the VR3 foot bars mean that unwanted pressure on the chest can be avoided (particularly of concern for women).

It matches their performance level, maintaining the integrity of force curve throughout the range of motion while taking into account their limits and abilities. Start RLD (adjustable start only) provides start positions every 10˚. Total RLD (adjustable start and finish) provides start and end positions every 10˚
  • Fully Enclosed Weight Stacks: Enclosed weight stacks help shield bystanders and users from inadvertent contact with the moving weight stack, creating a safer workout environment. The fully enclosed stacks give a sleek appearance and comply with ASTM and EN standards.
  • Dependent Converging and Diverging Movement: The dependent movement provides a feeling of exceptional stability and ease throughout each movement, while the aligned path of motion provides consistent loading through the complete range. The consistent torque application maximizes the training force of the muscle while minimizing joint stress. Users of all levels will embrace the progress they make.
  • Gas Assist Seat: Our intuitive seat base adjustment design uses gas spring assist to allow adjustments to the seat height without requiring the user to leave the machine. Both the seat base and seat backs have position indicators to enable the user to consistently duplicate a position on the machine.
  • Second Generation Twist Select Increment Weight System: Patent-pending system allows user to adjust the weight 5 pounds (2.5 kg) at a time with a simple turn of the knob—nothing to slide, drop or lose. Patent-pending system is also completely balanced for drag free operation and includes integrated oiling capabilities, resulting in reduced time and mess associated with guide rod maintenance.
  • Contoured Molded Pads: Ergonomically contoured molded pads provide better support for a variety of movements, as well as a more contemporary overall look.

Not actually for aggressive chewers

*sigh* Yet ANOTHER toy that's marketed for aggressive chewers that doesn't live up to its claims. My 50-lb goldendoodle put a hole in the plush part of this alligator toy in under 3 minutes, and that was just from normal chewing and not the tooth gnashing with her molars that she usually does. So why 5 stars still? Because after that initial hole was created, we've asked her to be gentle with it, and she's done a fairly good job, leading to a toy that is still intact that she absolutely LOVES. No kidding, this is her new favorite "baby," although I do suspect that the next new toy she gets will then become her new favorite. Kids, amirite? Anyway, I suspect that she loves this toy so much (aside from the fact that it's the newest one) because it's kind of like 2 toys in 1. She has a large rope toy that she adores and only gets to play with when closely supervised because otherwise she uses her teeth to effectively cut through all of the individual rope strings in no time flat. This kind of mimics that texture, but she gets to play with this one to her heart's content and so far hasn't done any appreciable damage to it. She also loves the texture of plush toys, and this one is large enough that she can really grab it in her mouth, but not so big that it takes any effort to carry around. The squeaker has somehow managed to remain alive, and I attribute that to her being asked to be more gentle with this toy, since usually, the reason why she's making holes in plushies is to dig that most cherished little plastic squeaker out of her toys' guts. This is actually a pretty expensive dog toy, though the current coupon price brings it to just under $15, which seems more reasonable, but still kind of pricey for something that your dog may chew completely through in 10 minutes. If you don't have an aggressive chewer, this is a pretty great toy. If you do, be prepared to pay for a toy that will become a pile of innards in pretty short order.
