The frame is constructed from 8 mm rods of B95T1 aviation aluminum alloy (in USA AA7075, in EU ENAW 7075), known for its high frost resistance and durability. It can withstand significant mechanical loads and returns to its original shape even after extended exposure.
The dome-umbrella design offers several advantages:
Minimizes the accumulation of precipitation on the tent;
The streamlined shape provides stability during gusts of wind.
1 person hot tent has two flies. The outer fly is made of Oxford 300 DEN fabric with a PU water impregnation rating of 4000 mm. The inner fly is made of Oxford 210 DEN fabric with a PU water impregnation rating of 2000 mm. The seams are sealed with special tape for extra protection against moisture.
The two-layer design of the Sputnik-3 1 person hot tent creates an “air gap” that helps maintain a comfortable temperature inside. Any condensation that forms is trapped between the layers, preventing moisture from entering the interior space.
1 person hot tent has a place for installing a wood-burning stove. It features a built-in stove jack made of fire-resistant fabric, allowing for the selection of the appropriate pipe diameter. A removable sheet of heat-resistant fabric is secured on a Velcro fastener to protect the tent wall from potential damage.
The following stoves are recommended for use with the Sputnik-3: Atom or Fireplace Small size.
