Several years ago as I sat in my small basement studio I found myself really wanting to have some simple pedal steel tones in a project, so I set out to whip something up real quick. I designed a simple pitch bender, that at that time was made of wood,  drew up a body shape I liked and whipped one together pretty quick so I could get back to making music.  Not long after that I started offering them for sale, and in the years since we have made into the hundreds of these steels and are still cranking them out.

These lap steels are made to order, the photo is an example, not the exact lap steel you'll receive. They typically take 4-6 weeks to complete, but depending on my work load can take a little longer.

If you opt for a 3 string bender over the std two string we will install it on strings 1,2,3  unless otherwise requested.

The body is made of walnut. These are a single pickup (Paf style humbucker) instrument with a single master volume. They come equipped with a handmade  b-bender and g bender. All of the wooden appointments and hardware are made from thermally modified Red oak. The scale length is 23.5 inches. The tuners are gotoh, the pot is  bourne, and the output jack is switchcraft. The finish is hand rubbed oil
As of Feb 2022 I am switching over to making the benders completely from aluminum, and will be eliminating wooden parts. The knobs and pickup ring will also be switched from wood to black counter parts. The overall aesthetic of the guitars will be the same, but the aluminum parts just provide a little more stability and durability. Please make note of this, as it is a slight difference from the photos.

The b bender and g bender are micro adjustable with a machine screws for intonation, and can be set to bend either a half, or full step up. They come strung up for an open E tuning (EBEG#BE), bending the second string up a full step takes you from a B to a C#, and bending up the 3rd string by a half step gives you an A. These two settings together give you the four chord, the relative minor, and an add4 chord.

here is a video of me noodling a little bit. Doubtless it would sound better in more experienced hands. I'm not a slide player by any stretch, and this was just recorded with my iphone, so its not super high quality , but hopefully the video is helpful, in any case it shows the benders in action.  https-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1ya6u1kB6Q

Great value dress shoes with nice detailing
Size: 11, Color: Black, Size: 11, Color: Black
I bought these black dress shoes for an occasional formal wear, and overall I’m quite pleased with them for the price. Fit & Comfort: The size is accurate (true to size for me). They fit well right out of the box with no major break-in period needed. The pointed toe is a bit more tapered/narrow than I usually prefer, but it’s stylish and not uncomfortably tight. The main downside is the thin padding/insoles — they’re a little firm underfoot. However, this is an easy fix; I’ve already swapped them for better aftermarket insoles and the comfort improved significantly. Quality & Appearance: The quality is solid for the money. The faux leather has a nice shine, and the crocodile-embossed pattern on the toe cap and sides looks sharp and premium in person (see my photos). Stitching is clean, the sole has decent tread for a dress shoe, and they feel sturdy. No loose threads or cheap-feeling construction. They’ve held up well so far after several wears. Value: Excellent bang for the buck. They look much more expensive than they cost and are a solid choice if you’re looking for stylish dress shoes without spending a fortune. Would recommend, especially if you plan to add your own insoles. Perfect for office, weddings, or events where you want to look polished.

Very shiny, very pointy
Size: 11, Color: Black, Size: 11, Color: Black
I'm actually glad I oversized these a bit. These are pointed oxfords with an interesting diamond or scale like pattern on them. Not typically my usual style but it is nice to switch it up every now and again. At an 11 they fit, though I am usually a 10.5 and there are rough bits on the inside I'll have to apply moleskine to. Not really bits that are rough for the shoe themselves, just parts where they don't fit my particular feet right. Other than those bits they were okay as far as comfortability. I wouldn't go walking super far in them or anything, but for a day at the office or for a restaurant or something like that they are perfectly serviceable. I don't think they will hold up in the long term as I do see areas where the construction is a bit lacking. The padding in particular needs some work. I imagine I will be able to keep them around a bit longer with some glue re-application (this is easy to do, and generally if you are anything like me the sole tends to separate on shoes first). Overall I think they are an okay value here. They aren't really comfortable enough for me to be a daily driver kind of shoe, but for a special occasion and to fit a particular outfit they are nice to have in rotation.

Stylish & Comfortable
Size: 10, Color: Black
These men’s dress shoes offer a sleek and modern look. I used them for formal wear, and they complemented the outfit nicely. The design is polished and professional. They stand out. The fit is comfortable for extended wear. The materials feel durable and supportive. The sole provides good traction. That’s important. They are versatile for both business and formal events. The finish holds up well over time. They maintain their appearance. Very reliable. Overall, these are stylish and practical shoes. They combine comfort with design. I would recommend them. Great value.
