It is a bit thinner, to squeeze through tight spaces. Critical buckles are aluminum because you can't afford failure in big mountains.
As with all our expedition caliber backpacks, the Summit Light 70 has an adjustable suspension system. The torso length and spacing of the shoulder straps can be adjusted for optimal load distribution. In addition, the basis of the internal frame: two ergonomically shaped aluminum stays can be customized to the unique shape of your spine.
The top lid extends or can be removed. It is compatible with a hydration system of your choice, with multiple lash points for adding tools to the outside, and an expandable main compartment with access from the top or bottom. When not in use or for smaller loads, it compresses small and flat.
