Note: Interiors (mesh or solid) are interchangeable and clip in and out from underneath the fly. The solid interior (2/3 solid, 1/3 mesh door walls and a solid roof) blocks horizontal blowing wind, sand, snow, and rain.

Are the Tarptent tents seam sealed?

The Tarptent tents do not arrive seam sealed. Seam sealant will have to be purchased separately. We recommend the Gear Aid Seam Grip + SIL as it adheres to silicone coated fabrics better (Which the Tarptents use)

Can the Scarp 1 be converted to free-standing?

Yes, if using the optional crossing poles.

Can I use this for winter?
When used with the optional crossing poles, the Scarp 1 can handle substantial snow-loading and wind exposure. The solid interior is recommended for cold winds or blowing snow.

Can the Scarp 1 really fit two people?

The floor of the Scarp 1 accommodates two 3/4 length sleeping pads (48 in x 20 in / 122 cm x 51 cm).

Are there any additional pullout points for extra staking?

Yes, there are additional pullouts on the arch sleeve and perimeter hem.

Does this Tarptent accommodate tall people (over 6 ft 3 in / 190.5 cm)?
Sitting up, you’ll feel crunched if you are over 6 ft 2 in / 1.88 m. Laying down, the full floor length (86 in / 218 cm ) is usable due to vertical end walls.
