DESCRIPTION

Rare antique stereoscope card by master pioneer photographer Charles Emery. This 3d photograph is a cityscape image in a series he produced called "Views of Rocky Mountain Scenery, Scenes along the line of Denver & Rio Grande Railroad", I have several others rare Charles E Emery stereoviews listed too.

This particular one is of Silver Cliff Colorado from the surrounding mountains and unfortunately is unmarked anywhere. I have another image of the main street at night showing the buildings to the left with the shop fronts being shown in close up. The other photographs of this town date this image to June 1880.

Some of Charles E Emerys works are currently on exhibition at The Annapolis Collection Gallery, Annapolis, MD.

CONDITION

In good used condition with some small chips to the stereoview card background and scuffs commensurate with age - please see all pictures as they form part of the description
