The Flapper Dress we present here comes from a very simple, but very elegant, original dress from the 1920s.  It is made of only two pattern pieces, and the front and back are the same, but the simplicity belies the meaning of the garment.  Our original is made of a black cotton/silk gauze that is heavily beaded with black glass beads grouped into art deco shapes all over the dress.  The armholes, neckline, waist (which is slightly dropped), and hem are outlined with oblong red glass beads stacked in rows.  The dress is made to swing, made to awe with its embellishments and the scarcity of fabric around the neck, arms, and legs. 

Make this dress with beaded or fringed fabric, or add your own beads or fringe to it, or make it with a simple gorgeous silk charmeuse.  

This is a PDF pattern.  You will be provided a link after checkout with the files to download with the pattern.  The files include a print-at-home version (tiled - 13 pages), a copyshop version (that works for 36" and A0) paper, as well as sewing instructions and a short history of the flapper dress (9 pages). 

We have added the option to print this pattern for you.  If you choose this option in the drop down menu, we will print the pattern on 36" wide, 80# (heavy) paper, as well as instructions, and mail them to you.  This option takes a few more days to fulfill.  

Suggested Fabrics:  Fabrics with drape such as silk, rayon, cotton lawn, gauze, and blends.  This can also be a simple sundress - made of cotton lawn or linen.

Easy Assembly It also came with an instruction manual that was extremely simple to follow, and assembly was very easy. I was able to put the chair together by myself in about 20 minutes without any help. Armrest Functionality I also like the armrests. They aren’t adjustable by height, but they do flip all the way up, which is surprisingly convenient. You can easily slide the chair under a desk or use it as an armless chair when needed. Packaging and Presentation Another thing worth mentioning is the packaging. Everything arrived extremely well-packed. Every individual part of the chair was wrapped securely, including bubble wrap protection for the components. The hardware and accessories were neatly organized, and the chair even came with the necessary tools for assembly in case you don’t own a drill or tool set. The presentation and packaging were excellent and showed real attention to detail. Overall Impression Overall, this is a fantastic office chair for the price: comfortable, supportive, sturdy, easy to assemble, and packaged exceptionally well. I’d absolutely recommend it and would confidently give it a five-star rating.

Great chair at a good price
It's a great chair, comfortable and reasonably priced for an ergonomic office chair. I usually don't write reviews, but I also understand how purchasing an office chair can feel overwhelming with so many choices. I needed to replace the chair I'd purchased in 2020. At the time I'd not spent a lot of money, not sure if working remotely would be temporary or permanent. It lasted about as long as one might expect. I did quite a bit of research choosing a replacement. I'm always hesitant to purchase furniture without trying it out in person. This chair is worth the price, not on the higher end of what's available but definitely not cheap. I've had it for about three weeks and so far, it's perfect for the 8-10 hours I spend in it during the week. It arrived early, a great bonus. Assembly was quick, with easy-to-follow directions and all the tools and parts needed. (including some spare screws). I agree with others who mentioned that a spare set of hands would have helped, but I had no issue doing it myself. It's a sturdy chair with good lumbar support. The adjustability of that feature can accommodate different heights. (I'm around 5'4") Changing seat height or whether the back tilts or remains stationary are all easy to accomplish. The one minor caveat is the seat is leather, so in warm weather and shorts season, it's not ideal. I solved that by purchasing a cover (because of the way the chair fits together, I purchased one that covers both the seat and back because a seat cover by itself would not work). That has worked fine and I'm not sure whether I'll keep the cover on all year. Overall, it's a great chair at a good price.
