Translated and published in 2007, this is a welcome edition to go along with whatever you already know about Aristophanes! I believe that without these fragments of his unknown plays, our picture of Aristophanes is incomplete and somewhat biased. And this goes for Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides as well. People who love the ancient playwrights need to know about what else they did besides what is already out there. That's why I love these Loeb Fragments editions! They reveal so much more about the dramatists' genius, art and ouvre.
