A BioPatch Antimicrobial CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate Disk Dressing is a sterile, disc-shaped wound dressing made with a special fabric that contains chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG). CHG is an antiseptic and antimicrobial agent that is clinically proven to reduce the risk of infection in wounds. The BioPatch allows for sustained release of CHG, providing extended protection against harmful bacteria and other microbes. It is commonly used in surgical and medical settings to help prevent infections in surgical wounds, catheter insertion sites, and other wounds.

BIOPATCH™ containing Chlorhexidine Gluconate is intended for use as a hydrophilic wound dressing that is used to absorb exudate and to cover a wound caused by the use of vascular and non-vascular percutaneous medical devices such as: IV catheters, central venous lines, arterial catheters, dialysis catheters, peripherally inserted coronary catheters, mid-line catheters, drains, chest tubes, externally placed orthopedic pins, and epidural catheters. It is also intended to reduce local infections, catheter-related blood stream infections (CRBSI), and skin colonization of microorganisms commonly related to CRBSI, in patients with central venous or arterial catheters.

BioPatch Antimicrobial Catheter Dressing Disks are designed to prevent infection in patients with central venous and arterial catheters. Each antimicrobial disk is impregnated with CHG (chlorhexidine gluconate), an antiseptic agent that will keep your patient protected for up to 7 days. BioPatch disks reduce bacterial levels on patients, eliminate the need for frequent dressing changes, and have the unique ability to absorb 8 times their own weight in fluids.

  • Reduces the risk of catheter-related blood stream and local infections
  • Contains CHG Chlorhexidine Gluconate as an Antimicrobial
  • 7-days of continuous antimicrobial protection
  • Reduces bacterial levels
  • Absorbs 8 times its own weight in fluids
  • Eliminates frequent dressing changes

Catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSIs) are a challenge for any hospital. Not only do they increase patient morbidity and mortality rates from 12 to 25%, but they also increase hospital stays and cost your facility valuable dollars. BioPatch technology works to eliminate that. These antimicrobial catheter dressings provide week-long protection to each patient, thereby saving you time and money used in frequent dressing changes and patient care. Each disk’s time-released solution is activated by the presence of moisture on the skin, and has been proven effective in the presence of organic matter including blood, sera and proteins. Ensure your patients' safety from infections with BioPatch Antimicrobial catheter dressings.

Waterproof
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This product is great for kids in the pool or ocean. It is very waterproof and you can even see the water beading on top of the sunscreen. It doesn't go on super clear, which can be an advantage for determining coverage. One other unique feature is the bottle itself changes color to indicate it is currently exposed to UV light although that is basically anytime you walk outside in daytime.

Good sun protection but leaves white streaks after sweating
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I really wanted to like this sunscreen after seeing it make a lot of lists for best sunscreen for runners. But for whatever reason, about 15-20 minutes into my runs and I've started really sweating, I see white streaks in my elbow crease. I've started developing weird tan lines in my elbow crease if I don't consciously try to re-rub and re-spread the sunscreen in my elbows periodically during my runs. If I only use the sunscreen for lower impact activities, I don't get the white streaks. It's as if from the sweat it pools the minerals from the sunscreen into my elbow crease. But yet I don't have that problem with the sweat mix with my sunscreen on other parts of my body. I've also switched to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which ironically isn't meant for sports, but I don't have the elbow crease white streaks issue with that sunscreen. I will say, this Blue Lizard sunscreen does rub and spread easily and doesn't leave a white cast after rubbing it into my skin. Although it does feel mildly greasy after I'm done applying it everywhere. I've switch to Australian Gold Botanical Mineral sunscreen which doesn't feel greasy but it does leave a slight white cast on my tan skin, but I'll rather have that than deal with frequently needing to re-rub/re-spread the sunscreen in my elbow creases when white streaks form.

Go to sunscreen!
Size: 5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Mineral based sunscreen was recommended to me after second degree burns. I love how the bottle changes color when UV is bad.

Superb Hidden Treasure of a Sunblock
Color: White, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1), Style: Baby
If you're spending 100's of dollars on top of the line SPF serums etc. that are just an ounce in size forget about that. This is sublime. The stuff is like magic. It makes my mid aged skin glow and stay moisturized AND blocks the pigment causing UV rays. I've had plenty of photofacials to treat dark spots and without mineral protection I find they just come back over and over. This works great for the times I can't have a hat on or areas of my face (or hands!) that are difficult to keep covered. No smell and for me the best part is NO IRRITATION WHATSOEVER to my eyes when even things that say they won't irritate eyes do. This stuff is GREAT!
