Original Item: Only One Available. This very USN WWII uniform jumper is featured on page 132-133 in the book Sailors in Forest Green; USN Personnel Attached to the USMC, Volume 1 by Jeff Warner.

A pharmacist's mate second class wearing the dress blue uniform. This jumper was tailor made in Navy blue gabardine wool. It also has "liberty cuffs" with mermaid designs sewn to the underside of the cuffs. Liberty cuffs could be hidden from disapproving eyes by rolling the cuffs down and buttoning them when discretion dictated. This corpsman was attached to the Second Marine Division. A single red service stripe indicates four years service. The French Croix de Guerre Fourragere was awarded to the USMC 5th and 6th regiments at the end of World War I. All members of these regiments were authorized to wear the fourragere thereafter but were required to remove it upon leaving the regiment. It is interesting that an amendment to the 1941 Uniform Regulations (BP CL 199-44)(7-12-44) addressed the wearing of fourrageres on Navy uniforms. Fourrageres were authorized for wear and the following was added with regard to attaching it; "In order to attach the fourragere to the naval uniform, a button may be sewed to the left shoulder of the coat or jumper under the collar." The original owner of this uniform joined the Naval Reserve in 1939. He was attached to the 6th Marines in California in 1941 and was assigned to Iceland in July of 1941. In January of 1943, he was sent to Guadalcanal and in November took part in the landing at Tarawa. In June of 1944, he took part in the landings on Saipan. (J. Warner)

The ribbons seen here are; Good Conduct Medal with bronze star for second award representing six years good conduct. Pacific Theater ribbon with three battle stars representing Guadalcanal, Tarawa and Saipan. American Defense Service for active duty prior to 1941 (bottom row). (J. Warner)

A Really Good Product
Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz.
This is the best black vinyl restorer I've used. Some products don't dry completely and run with the first rain, leaving streaks that are unsightly. It restore blackness that lasts.

Great product

This makes my 15 year-old car look brand new… And in my experience, it lasts for several months before it needs re-application. Super easy… Just make sure the car surface is very clean and very dry and there won’t be any rain within a day or so.

Works well but might need multiple coats to get to shinny. Not long lasting.

Time will tell
Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz., Style: Trim & Plastic Restorer, 12 fl. oz.
I sprayed off the shutters before using. Then applied the product. It’s a thicker, white liquid. (Think lotion) it applied easily and dried quickly since it was being absorbed into the plastic shutters and aluminum windows; mine were very ‘thirsty’ from being in the direct afternoon sunlight. I like how I didn’t have to worry if one part rcvd more product than another. It blended easily. I think it looks good, but so did using other products over the years. I was told by a neighbor that this was the best product to use on them and other plastics. Time will tell if it holds up.
