Alright, practice heroes, let's talk about the womens latin dance shoes that are tired of being called "just for practice." Meet the Melody Black & White Cuban Heels—your secret weapon for looking sharp while you drill your shines. That classic mambo-style lace-up isn't just a vintage nod; it’s your ticket to a dialed-in, custom fit. And with a sensible 2-inch Cuban heel that keeps your posture perfect and a genius split suede sole that moves when you do, these practice dance shoes are here to prove that working hard doesn't mean sacrificing style or comfort.

We built these from the ground up for the dancer who values smart design. The buttery-soft leather upper doesn't just look good—it molds to your foot like a second skin. Inside, a clever microfibre lining wicks away sweat to keep you cool, dry, and focused on your footwork, not your feet. The split sole design gives you the ultimate flexibility for articulate movements, while the suede bottom offers that perfect whisper of slide and grip. These are the salsa dance shoes that take your rehearsal from tedious to terrific.

Your Practice Session Game-Changers:

  • 2-Inch Cuban Practice Heel: The ideal, stable height for maintaining perfect dance posture and building muscle memory without straining your feet or ankles.

  • Supple Soft Leather Upper: Premium leather offers a luxurious feel that conforms to your foot's shape for a personalized, glove-like fit over time.

  • Classic Mambo Lace-Up Design: The timeless black and white lace-up provides an adjustable, secure closure and a serious dose of retro dance-floor style.

  • Sweat-Wicking Microfibre Lining: An interior that actively pulls moisture away to keep your feet dry and comfortable, mile after mile of practice.

  • Flexible Split Suede Sole: This dual-zone sole offers maximum articulation for pointing, flexing, and moving with natural, unrestricted freedom.

  • Adjustable Lace-Up Closure: Fine-tune the fit across your instep for a locked-in, supportive feel that moves with you and not against you.

  • Supportive Firm Fit Construction: Designed with a secure, Euro-sized fit that provides the necessary support for precise movements without any sloppy slippage.

  • Imported Australian Craftsmanship: Brought to you from Australia, reflecting a commitment to quality materials, durable construction, and detailed dance-specific design.

  • Versatile Closed-Toe Design: As reliable closed toe shoes, they offer protection and structure, making them perfect for both Latin rhythms and smooth ballroom patterns.

  • Optimized for Floor Feel: The suede sole provides the ideal balance for controlled turns and smooth glides, essential for any flat dance shoes in your rotation.

Bottom line? The Melody shoes are the dance shoes that show up for work. They’re the supportive, stylish, and seriously smart foundation for every hour you invest in the studio. Step into the women dance shoes that are as dedicated to the craft as you are. Your best practice starts here.

Great book but disappointing kindle experience
Format: Kindle
A must-read for anyone who wants to understand the troubled and racist history of voting rights in the US. My only complaint is that the Kindle version of this book messes up the footnotes. The great thing about reading on the Kindle is that you don't have to flip back and forth to check the footnote cites; you only have to click on them. Sadly, the footnotes aren't correct in the Kindle version of the book. They somehow were shifted by one, as I was able to confirm in my hardcover copy, completely ruining the experience if you wish to read more about a specific incident. This is inexcusable in my mind, but I won't hurt the rating for this book by taking off a star.

Activist history
Format: Hardcover
Anderson quite thoroughly explodes the myth of the rampant voter fraud claims that fuel the actual problem of rampant voter disenfranchisement, particularly aimed at non-whites. And, by extension, Anderson explodes the myth of the United States being a free and open democracy and shows us how much we still have to do to live up to the national image some of us like to think we put out to the world. From the illegal purging of voter registrations, to gerrymandering, to voter intimidation, Anderson offers up the facts of the racist policies that look to keep elections in the hands of white patriarchy and suppress its opponents. While Anderson sometimes resorts to some typical metaphors in her rhetoric (false comparisons to Stalin, for example, or Orwell name drops) that could too easily be cherry-picked by dull-minded opponents looking to poke holes in an otherwise fine case of what should be enraging us into action.

You will never look at voting the same again.
Format: Kindle
A well written, easy to understand, and eye opening book which details the problems with our current political system and the efforts to control the vote in order to keep the power and the money in the hands of the few. Well worth reading and will shift your view of voting and the difficulties many of our citizens face.

A must-read for every American
Format: Hardcover
This book is a must-read for every American. It starts as a historical lesson about voting rights and how they have evolved and devolved over the years and ends with a very detailed real time discussion of current voter suppression, gerrymandering, and election fraud. The greatest lesson I learned from it is that our voting experiences are absolutely determined by our zip codes. It is extremely relevant to what is happening today and in our very recent past. This book should be required reading in every high school and college American History, Civics and Government class un America.
