It didn't have a strong smell out of the package and didn't smell at all after a single wash. I will definitely be ordering more for my other beds.

I followed the instructions (machine wash on gentle cycle and tumble dry on low/fluff), and they came out looking as good as new. The only real downside is the wrinkling. Even when I remove them from the dryer promptly, they tend to wrinkle pretty badly (see attached photo). If you don't mind a quick steam or a few creases, these are a good value!
