There is just something about them that really makes them hold up and stand against modern pieces and they are easy to make feel modern with the correct styling. This particular dress is fabulous. Its made of a woven metallic brocade that has weight enough to hold its fantastic shape and lines, but is not so thick as to feel awkward or uncomfortable when on the body. The colors are lovely - a pastel versions of a soft pinky salmon coral mixed through with gold and silver with a pale pink metallic thread thrown in the mix. The cut is simple, long sleeves and has a nice, dramatic little A-line flare as it nears the hem. The neck line is cut high but wide and I love the padding that is edged in silver lame thread that circles the neck, cuffs and hem. It really adds a shot of glamor. Excellent condition.
