The “Mary and Laura” dresses by Thimbles and Acorns are a reproduction of the dresses the girls wore in a picture taken around 1880, the year recorded so vividly in her book “The Long Winter”.

Supplies Needed:
- Dress -3/4 yard lightweight woven fabric such as cotton, gingham, calico, lawn, silk or linen
- Handkerchief -4 inch square of lightweight cotton such as batiste, linen, lawn or muslin
- Trims -1 yard 1/2" wide flat lace -1/3 yard 1/4 inch ribbon -small decorative button
- Closures -6 3/8 inch flat buttons for the back closures
