Our newest dress is more than just good looks, we designed it with a few thoughtful details to keep you feeling comfortable all day. Made from a lightweight cotton voile, the scoop-neck top is sculpting and supportive, and the tiered skirt adds the right amount of flounce. From sightseeing to dinner plans to a nightcap with the friends you made along the way, this dress can do it all. This is made with an amazingly lightweight and drapey fabric called voile, which should translate to: perfect for hot days. Where other cotton voile fabrics are semi-sheer, ours has just enough TENCEL™ to be super soft and not at all see-through.

Marine Layer started with a goal to make the softest shirt, one that would feel like an old favorite rather than a new one that needs to be broken in. In the 10 years since Marine Layer began, they’ve custom developed over 100 fabrics, with soft fabrics being their thing. They’re focused on finding new ways to make clothing responsibly and sustainably. They do this by using recycled materials in their clothing, working closely with manufacturing partners to ensure vendor code of ethics, and donating to nonprofit partners.
