The weather in Toronto at New Years made most people want to bury their heads and stay inside.
But Kerri and Matt dragged themselves out of bed.

We sprang out of bed to attack winter with unparalleled ferociousness.
But a little bit of apprehension.
After gathering all of our important equipment we set out to seize the day.
We really love our equipment.
We misplaced some of it though and spent a while searching all over to find it.

Even polar bears are very careful to check they won’t break through the ice.
Sometimes they dive in anyway because polar bears don’t mind a polar dip at –20C.
