Lonicera hispidula, commonly known as California honeysuckle or pink honeysuckle, is a deciduous to semi-evergreen climbing vine native to the western United States, particularly California and Oregon. It grows by twining around nearby shrubs or structures and can reach lengths of 3 to 6 meters, forming a dense, attractive cover. The leaves are opposite, oval to oblong, and often fused at the base near the flower clusters, with a slightly rough or hairy texture, giving the plant its species name “hispidula.” In late spring through summer, it produces showy clusters of tubular, pink flowers with protruding yellow stamens, which are highly attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. These flowers are followed by bright red, translucent berries that provide food for birds and small mammals, though they are not edible for humans. Lonicera hispidula thrives in well-drained soils, tolerates drought once established, and grows best in full sun to partial shade, making it a versatile and ecologically valuable vine for native plant gardens and naturalized landscapes. Zones 5-9

Germination

Lonicera hispidula seeds require a period of cold stratification to improve germination success, as this mimics the natural winter dormancy they undergo in the wild. To prepare, seeds can be mixed with a moist medium such as sand, peat, or vermiculite and stored in the refrigerator at 1–5°C (34–41°F) for about 2 to 3 months. After stratification, they should be sown in a well-draining seed-starting mix, lightly covered with soil, and kept evenly moist but not waterlogged. A bright location with indirect light and temperatures around 18–22°C (64–72°F) supports germination. Seedlings may emerge slowly and irregularly, often taking 4 to 8 weeks or longer. Once the young plants have developed several true leaves, they can be carefully transplanted into individual pots and grown on until strong enough to be acclimated outdoors. Eventually, they should be planted in full sun to partial shade in well-draining soil, where they will establish as vigorous, climbing vines attractive to pollinators and wildlife.

Last about a year ishhh
Size: Single Slat, Color: Glossy Black&M-Color
Plastic mold isn’t as straight as it should be, the clips don’t line up like oem. Product is wiggly. Had on car for over half a year. Hasn’t faded. Just wish the fitment was better. Update: the grill lasted about 1 1/2 years, it began to fade, and I had a slat crack, no evidence of impact. I ended up buying a better made product and replaced this grill.

Fits a 2001 330!
Size: Single Slat, Color: Black, Size: Single Slat, Color: Black
The grill in my old 2001 330 broke off and I was really happy to find a nice looking replacement at an inexpensive cost. The black looks really sleek on it and has breathed some new life into it. Next up is to replace the emblem.

Direct Fit and good quality
Color: Single Slat Gloss Black, Size: 2002-2005 E46
For anyone that has owned an E46 knows that even the stock kidney grills are brittle plastic. This aftermarket is about the same quality as stock. It is a direct fit and has the clips where they are supposed to be to keep them in place. The look is also pretty nice. This one is all black and actually looks nice on my black E46. I would recommend especially for the price and shipping was fast.
