It is constructed of 8 separate pieces of leather, with a 5 pointed Japanese Army Star on the front. The ear cups are complete, and made of hardened leather, each having holes in the center for mounting the communication equipment and receivers. All straps are fully functional, all the buckles and tabs work perfectly. The data stamp (written in Kanji) is stamped into the earpiece and is clearly legible.

Included with the helmet are classic cat eye goggles as worn by Japanese Army Pilots during WWII. Maroon color aluminum frames with brown velvet face pads.Tan cloth headband strap is original and complete. Lenses are excellent and have a dark yellow tint. Offered in very good condition.

A wonderful set that will be a focal point of any WWII Japanese aviator collection.
