Non-GMO Flowering Lawn Bee Mix Seeds (Organic Coated Micro Clover, Self-Heal, and Creeping Thyme) + Soil Builders + Compost Booster in an Easy to Spread Shaker. Full Sun to Shade, Deer Resistant, Drought Tolerant, Perennial in USDA Zones 3-9.

Micro Clover Trifolium repens var. pipolina:
  • Has very small leaves which are about 1/4 of the size of Dutch White Clover.
  • Stays small and doesn't flower as much as Dutch White Clover so you don't have to worry about bee stings.
  • Grows better in shade than grass and tolerates foot traffic and pets better than grass making it a great option for families with kids and pets.
  • Has above ground roots (runners/stolons) that will choke out weeds like dandelions over time as it fills in. Apply at higher rates for quicker effect.
  • Fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the ground, reducing the need for fertilizer once established.

Self-Heal Prunella vulgaris:

  • Produces many light purple blooms in early to mid-summer about 2-6" tall.
  • Beneficial nectar source for a variety of pollinators.
  • Grows well in part shade to full sun in sand, clay, or loam soils.

Creeping Thyme Thymus serpyllum:

  • Produces small pink blooms in mid to late summer about 2-4" tall.
  • Beneficial nectar source for a variety of pollinators.
  • Grows well in full sun to part shade in sand or loam soils.
  • Low Maintenance: Less mowing, less watering. Once your flowering lawn is established, it requires much less watering and mowing. No fertilizer needed
  • Tested and Trusted: Developed and perfected through over six years of successful transformations with our Organic Lawn Care partnership.
  • Doing More Good: Sales proceeds support our Share the Seed program, educating youth while supporting pollinators with community seeding projects.

Here at Flowering Lawn, we are on a mission to improve the quality of life and the environment, starting with lawns! By making the easy switch to Flawn Seed, you will experience many benefits like reduced mowing, fertilizing & watering - saving you time and money. Flowering lawns support beneficial pollinating insects. Flowering lawns also capture and store more carbon making your property greener. Our Flowering Lawn Kit seeds are easy to establish and can be seeded during any season! If you seed your lawn in late fall or winter, wait until the ground is frozen or sprinkle over fresh snow. If seeding in spring, wait until the ground thaws and soil temperatures are around 55 degrees. Avoid seeding before hot and dry periods to keep soil from completely drying out during germination. Our Flawn Seed Flowering Lawn Kit seeds is designed to be over-seeded into existing grass lawn areas to create about half grass and half flowers. If you are starting with bare soil, add 2-4 lbs of grass seed per 1,000 sqft. If you desire to have only clover and no grass, increase your seeding rates. Caring for a Flowering Lawn - Continue to mow your lawn regularly for the first season to keep the grass from overtaking the seedlings. Regular mowing at 2-4” is necessary to maintain smaller leaves. This will result in fewer flower blooms. Without regular mowing, the clovers will produce larger leaves and produce more flower blooms. Watering through hot and dry periods may also be necessary. Packaging is recyclable.

How to Seed Your Flawn:

Seed in spring, late summer, or early fall. Spread over existing grass after mowing to .5" and raking to loosen soil (full instructions on package or Download the PDF here). Water lightly but frequently after seeding so soil and seedlings don't dry out. Continue to mow for one year at 2-3" until flowers are fully established.

Maintaining Your Flawn:

- Mow at 2-3" for the first year. Once all varieties are established, it is up to you how you keep your Flawn. Mowing higher and less often will promote more flowers and have a more wild look. Mowing shorter and more often will have a more traditional lawn look with little to no flowers.

- Do not use pesticide weed or insect killers. Hand weed if necessary or desired.

- White clover fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the ground, so fertilizer needs are minimal, if at all, once established. Applying an organic starter fertilizer is recommended, especially if seeding grass seed in addition to the Flawn Seed Kit.

- If you are seeding a new lawn or renovating a bare soil area, we recommend using a blend of fine fescue seed at 2-4 lbs/1,000 sq. ft.

Good Pet Ball Launcher
Style: 2.5" Ball
I bought to throw balls for my Aussie. He does not like to tennis ball that came with it and chewed it up in less than one play time. The launcher seems to be of good quality and works well. We bought different balls made for launchers that work well.

Must-Have for Dog Owners (Whow have dogs that like to fetch)
Style: 2.5" Ball
Soon as this launcher arrived I went outside with the dogs to try it out. Long story short: This is a great fetch toy. I am able to launch the ball pretty far with little to no effort, and picking the ball back up is as easy as grabbing it with my own hand. The toy itself is very sturdy, so much so this is the only fetch-toy I'll ever have to buy. Considering how durable it is, I don't think I'll ever need to buy a replacement. I believe Chuck-It is the most popular option, and because this is the first fetch-toy I purchased, I can't really compare it to anything else. A few outlier reviews said the ball was difficult to launch, and I have to disagree. It has been so easy to use I can't possibly see what the problem is. And no, upper body strength is not a factor as I virtually have none. People can get great distance (Half the length of a football field by my eye) in one simple, easy motion. And if other products can launch the ball farther, so what? How far is far enough? Is your dog going to throw a fit because it went 40 meters instead of 50? No. They will not. For anyone upset this toy doesn't launch far enough, ask yourself this: Is the toy for their dog? Or the human who bought it? The bottom line is this: It feels like it's built to last, it's inexpensive, and it does what it is supposed to do. So long as a toy is "good enough" I don't see the point in splitting hairs and trying to determine which fetch toy is the absolute best. Saying it's good enough is a bit misleading though. I can't imagine how a dog toy like this could be any better. It's a must-have for any dog owner. Unfortunately, only one of my pups likes to fetch...

Works Like a Charm!
Style: 2.5" Ball
WoW!! This thing is pretty cool! It can pick the ball up off the ground - and with little effort - It can throw the ball 3X Higher and Further than I ever could! It wont hurt my elbow or wrist ( way better than before when I was wearing myself out ) I don’t know how I ever got along without it!! It's a must have if your dog loves playing ball. :-) Update: I've had this For 7 Months Now- it looks and works Great just like the day I bought it- Thumbs up!

Better Design - Better Materials - No Sticking
Style: 2.5" Ball
Been using Chuck-It launchers and plastic balls for a very long time and they were always a little sticky on giving up the ball. This makes it tricky to throw grounders with precision and can overshoot the fence in the backyard. A couple of years ago, Chuck-It changed the material to a stiffer plastic that made this problem more pronounced. I even tried custom sanding the cup to get just the right grip. The Fetch-It launcher (using the Chuck-It plastic balls) uses a three-pronged claw with soft rubbery ends that releases perfect every time. The material costs on this new one are noticeably higher while maintaining a somewhat lower price than the brand name original.

Meh
Style: 2.5" Ball
It "works" but it isn't very good. The grip is so loose on the ball, it lets go early and doesn't thrown very far. A Chuckit is so much better, I can get 3x the distance with a 25" Chuckit. This thing is kind of a waste.
