Water: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Water when the soil feels dry to the touch, ensuring proper drainage to prevent waterlogging and root rot. Reduce watering in the winter.
Humidity: Adapts well to average indoor humidity levels but thrives in moderate humidity. Increase humidity by misting the leaves occasionally or using a humidifier if needed.
Temperature: Ideal temperatures range from 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend of peat, perlite, and pine bark. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, liquid houseplant fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter.
Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is 1-2 inches larger in diameter and has good drainage.
