It is preferable that the soil does not contain much organic material, such as peat moss and that the plant is not fertilized with heavy nitrogen as this can cause an explosion of soft, flabby growth that can make the plant prone to bacterial rots. Decomposed granite is often an excellent media as it has many trace minerals and is similar to the South African quartz fields where these and others of the "Stone Mimicry" are found growing. Best chew toy ever!

My doodles love this chew. My 4 year old doodle still has hers. Very durable. I’ve bought this for all my friends and neighbors with new puppies! I have a new 7 month old doodle- she has not torn up anything...I feel it’s because of this chew.

Durable Nylabone That My Dog Loves
