It's also known as Love-in-a-mist and it is seriously lovely!

They are easy to grow and make wonderful additions to flower bouquets, and are very neat to dry. My mom loves to dry the pods.

This is a mix of some white and blue nigella we've been growing for a few years in our Iowa garden.

(We didn't keep the colors separate - we just put the seeds in a big container!)

.................

Quantity: Roughly 35 give or take

Note: This small seed sale is primarily being done by my 3 boys - Eddie, Harry and Ellis (12, 9 and 6)

They helped grow these flowers, and did all the packing so the numbers may be off.

We have been growing and saving these seeds for the past 3 years - if they grow for us they should grow for you!

Nigella is a great addition to your cut flower garden, your cottage garden, and the seed pods look so cool in bouquets.

The packaging is nothing special - but each pack was packed with love by my kiddos!

.................

How to grow:

Direct Sow: Recommended. Plant outside when weather is still cool or even cold! These plants like the cool - but will also germinate later. For a continual supply - plant every 3 weeks or so. Barely cover with soil just to keep seeds in place and keep moist till they germinate. The seeds need light to germinate

Start inside: 4-6 weeks before your last frost. Don't cover with soil and keep moist until germinate. Plant outside (after hardening off) and plant 2-9 inches apart. Nigella doesn't love to be transplanted - I have better luck direct sowing in the super early spring.

Pinch: you do not need to pinch this flower

Grow: Let a few of these flowers go to seed and you may have nigella popping in your garden up every year from now on! They are fun flowers for self-seeding and do not become annoying - so don't be worried they will take over, as they will not.

Tip: Dry some of these by hanging some mature blooms upside down - they dry sooooo well!

Not the best, but not the worst either
Format: Hardcover
By any means not the funniest book in the series, only the one on Krusty the Clown was more un-funny; but still a worthy addition to your collection and, just like all the others from the series providing a retrospective of anecdotes you might have forgotten.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.
