Trichocereus Pachanoi "PC" cactus are by far the most commonly grown, and sold Trichocereus in the United States.  What does PC mean? PC is short for Predominant Cultivar. This means they were and are the most widely commercially grown trichs within the nursery business here on the west coast of the states. Why?  They are prolific flower bloomers. AWESOME majestic flowers, great for all the critters that will be attracted to their fragrant scent from bees to bats and of course people! They are great as landscape specimens. If you are driving around the West Coast and encounter giant cactus growing in front of a library, restaurant or office building, it's a good chance it's Trichocereus PC. Same goes for the thousands and thousands of other homes and buildings that take advantage of their unique columns to add that special touch in creative landscaping.  They are popular within both the nursery and landscaping world for their ability to thrive in a variety of environmental conditions. They are one of the easiest, and therefore one of the most common columnar cactus propagated by nurseries in the United States, often used in commercial and residential landscaping, oops I already said that! Occasionally but not often, some of the big box stores across the country may offer them, often labeled as San Pedro, the common name for many Trichocereus cactus associated with South American origins. We're happy to say we sell and ship our cactus all over the states all year round!

PC is also highly popular amongst cactus grafters, that's where an expensive, rare and or super slow growing cactus specimen is grown on top of another cactus. Super cool and interesting growing technique that has been popular all over the world by both hobbyists and commercial growers. Even my kids like to graft!

PC is a great cheaper entry level Trichocereus into the collection hobby, but there are so many other super cool trichs like spiny Bridgesii, smoother Pachanoi, bluer Peruvianus, exotic hybrids and on and on.  Never hesitate to ask questions, we're here to support ya!

Below is more info and options we have, and we're always open to custom and wholesale pc orders too.

**Large and heavy middle cuts are sold approx. 15-20 lb lots. You may get 2-5 pieces based on stock. If pieces appear dehydrated, it means you’ll get more cutts and you’re not paying for water! If youd prefer more smaller, or less and bigger, please make a note during checkout. These will likely be discolored, scarred, sunburned, marked etc. Often one side will be heavily discolored if it's been laying on its side for too long, simply cosmetic,  and even sunburned cutts may appear bad, they will still push out new pups. *Best practice is to place the sunburned side away from sun, allowing other side to better photosynthesis. Just repeating, grafting stock doesnt need to be pretty, especially in the bulk weight listings  They are not show plants!  They are from hard grown areas and will greatly benefit from Fresh soil and shade and consistent watering. Colors will return to darker green over time if given some tlc as just mentioned.  The bigger and heavier the cutting, the more growth you can expect on your grafts. Lots of great videos out there on youtube etc.

** PC tips potted in 4” containers will vary by heights and width, some may show stretched tips which is normal during winter slower growth here, they’re gonna get sliced off regardless, just an fyi per a customer was expecting all fat tips.

Generally, if you are new to grafting, tip cutts are preferred as they're soft and easy to work with. Some like mids because they will wait for new tips to form and graft on those.  Have fun, grafting is relaxing and rewarding!

Check other listings for Exact potted options, as well as Bulk Lots.

These are Not Show Specimens, they likely have flaws, scars, dings, dents and spots, normal outdoor grown blemishes, they are mainly grafting stock, but that being said, PC are cool!

These ornamental Trichocereus cuttings are ready to be potted and rooted.  Give cacti propagation a start, you don't have to be a crazy smart botanist to grow beautiful cactus from cuttings! Why cuttings vs potted?   Time and cost!  Propagating via cutting cactus is the fastest and most economical way for commercial nursery growers to expand stock.  It eliminates months and years of waiting for seedlings to grow to appropriate selling size. This cost in growing can then be passed onto the seller.  You simply do the work on rooting and you learn a valuable lesson in growing and caring for cacti!

These specific cuttings will come from a variety of locations on our nursery, some in full sun, some partial, some in shade all day.  Sunlight, shade, soil, watering, fertilizer etc. are all factors  that determine the color of these cuttings, full sun tend to be lighter, full shade are darker.  They are not perfect, they will have blemishes, spots, splotches, scratches, mark's, scars, etc.  They are cactus!  Please check out our exact potted cactus if you are looking for collection specimens.

Generally will be cut fresh after sale is completed, but often we have cut and readied as our turnover can be very quick at times.  Please allow us a week or so to allow proper drying for safe shipping(sometimes during colder/wetter months this may take longer than warm/dry months).  Please see our Blog on propagating cactus cuttings to help get your investment rooted.

*** The following is not the norm but it's always a possibility.  Times and success with rooting can vary based on multiple factors including time of year, temps, soil etc.  Sometimes ends may arrive discolored, not an issue if its DRY. If a little mushy, follow our blog and slice off small section and start drying process all over. If some mold on the end, read our Blog and wash and dry and slice if needed.  Your cactus cutting is not ruined because of any of these reasons, it's an opportunity to learn and become an experienced propagation expert.   If this is too overwhelming for you, we kindly and respectfully ask that you not order from us as we want all of our customers to be happy!

Handle with CARE  and please see our FAQ for basic care info.

**Cactus are not perfect, they may have small flaws, we try and photograph all sides of a cactus including any flaws that catch our attention, but please do not expect every spine to be perfect, these are growing cactus and like people, they have character!

Nice wallet. Just received it and used on trip to Italy
Too early to rate for durability, but it came quickly, looks nice, and appears to be well-made. Was a godsend on my trip to Italy and back. With all the times you have to show your passport (usually dragging your luggage with you), my passport was always at the ready, secure in my wallet in my pocket. I would not travel abroad without it. Not only that, it will serve as my daily wallet as well

Pen holder feature isn't good
Color: Cocoa
Edited review: previously I gave this a two-star review because when I inserted the pen into the pen holder the wallet couldn't close anymore... I tried taking it out putting it back in a few times and it seemed obvious to me that something was wrong and I just could not figure out why the wallet possibly was having an issue closing even though it's designed to hold a pen... To me it seemed obvious that when inserting the pen you should have the clip on the inside where are the bills go.... That single millimeter of space that that clip takes up in the bill fold causes the wallet to not be able to close properly so it springs open. Needless to say that felt extremely cheap for a product of this price and I was very unhappy and considering a return and after writing a bad review I happen to see product pictures with the clip on the inside of the wallet where your cards go and it dawned on me that I had just simply put the pen in in the wrong orientation. That completely solves the issue. So updated back to five stars, and the wallet is great. 2n update after using it for a week on an international trip so I was carrying my passport. Worked great - made me feel safe to always have my passport and room for all my most important documents inside a -just- large enough for a passport wallet. I really don't think they could have saved another millimeter and still made such a quality wallet. Having a micro pen in there is icing on the cake - makes you feel like James bond. I also felt safer having a hidden bill compartment so your not showing a fat stack of foreign currency (I mean depends on your use case but I was in some rather poor areas and this added some peace of mind and 'security' in my opinion). You can just keep some small bills up front and your real stack on the hidden flap. I won't dock a star for it - but keeping this on a back pocket so you're sitting on it because it's bigger and the way it holds cards after just one week there's already card imprints on the leather (just imagine your older leather wallets where the cards start wearing through the leather) Also I tested the RFD blocking and it indeed works. I'm unable to scan any cards through the wallet and that was an important feature to me. Even when the wallet is open and I ran scanners directly over cards (in the sleeves) it still didn't pick anything up.

Works
Color: Cocoa
Good wallet that can fit a passport, hold cash, and cards. “Hidden” pockets too, but that just means more storage space to me. Soft and supple leather that gets better when conditioned and cared for properly. Main feature I like is the RFID blocking, I only get wallets that have it. Expensive- yes. Works, also yes.

Really bad amazon customer service
Color: Black
The wallet seems great but the box it came in wasn't sealed. It was supposed to arrive by the 22nd and it arrived 4 days later. I needed it for a trip on the 1st. When I took it out, the wallet had two scratches at the back and the pen was also scratched. I contacted customer service and they couldn't help me in any way to get the replacement item before my departure date. I kept it anyways because of thr necessity. Gave it 3 stars because of the good quality of the wallet

Great Wallet
I'm pretty particular when it comes to things that I need to carry at all times when I'm out. When looking for a new wallet back in 2014, I initially went with the oft recommended Saddleback Leather Medium Bifold. Initially, that wallet seemed to be both durable and well made. Unfortunately, after several months in the back pocket, two things became clear: first, the leather was so taught that it was breaking my credit cards in half at the pinch point of the credit card slot. Second, what I took for durability in the thickness of the leather quickly turned into nuisance as I ended up with an inch thick brick that ruined my seating comfort. I called Saddleback regarding the first point and they told me that it was a known issue and if I didn't like it I could send the wallet back, which I did. That left me at a crossroads with a new requirement: I wanted a leather wallet that was thin enough to not be uncomfortable, held 6 credit/id cards and a handful of bills. I searched around until I came across Bellroy. The travel wallet seemed to check all the boxes and added some features I never knew I needed. After 6 years of use, I finally decided that the original travel wallet I bought in 2014 had run its useful life, down to holes in the leather and all. I liked it so much, I bought another one. There are some subtle differences which I will highlight below. 1. Fits in Your Pocket This is ostensibly the best feature of the wallet. It is large in the two dimensions you shouldn't care about and thin where it counts. I have not found a pair of pants that I would wear that it doesn't fit in. With my passport, 6 credit/id cards, and a dozen bills it is roughly 3/4 inches thick. Fabulous. 2. The Right Pen I had no idea how useful the pen would be. I find occasion to pull it out at least once a week. I used to carry the wonderful Fisher Space Pen, but no longer do as this fills the role in a much for optimized way. Bellroy is kind enough to include an ink refill with every wallet and I still have the refill from 2014. That's not to delegitimize the previous point; the kind of things I write are forms and other short memos. I wouldn't use the pen to write a novel. The new wallet looks to have a pen that Bellroy have either white labelled or made themselves. I haven't yet written with it, but if it is at least as good as the Walkie it replaced, things should be fine. 3. Added Security The new wallet takes the split billfold and adds a flap that conveniently hides away the back section from prying eyes. In theory this seems like a useful feature. In practice, the flap is not quite long enough to allow for more than one or two bills without the cavity being visible when the wallet is opened. The new wallet also has RFID shielding which I don't recall being a feature of the old wallet. It sounds like a useful feature now that at least one of my credit cards has a contactless payment feature. 4. Leather It's a thin wallet so you should expect the leather to be thin as well. I got 6 years out of the first wallet and I'm not a guy who is easy on wallets. It has been in my pocket on rooftops doing solar installations, in machine shops, and on every kind of seat imaginable. My old wallet has been fully submerged in water more than once. With all that punishment, it outlasted the warranty by two times. None of the stitching has failed and the only real damage is two small holes in the outer leatherwork. If you are a business traveler, this should go out of style before it is rendered unusable from wear. In short, this is a great wallet for everyday use. I approve to the extent that I didn't look for a new choice when my old one wore out.
