Trachycarpus fortunei, commonly known as the windmill palm, is a distinctive and cold-hardy palm tree native to China. This palm species is celebrated for its compact, stout trunk covered in a dense, mat-like layer of coarse fibers, resembling a hessian cloth. The windmill palm is adorned with large, fan-shaped, palmate leaves that can reach up to three feet in diameter and create an elegant crown atop the trunk. This palm is highly valued for its adaptability to colder climates, making it one of the few palm species that can thrive in temperate regions. With its hardiness and unique appearance, the windmill palm is a cherished choice for landscaping, adding a touch of exotic elegance to gardens, courtyards, and urban landscapes in regions with colder winters, where it can withstand frost and snow and continue to thrive and charm with its evergreen beauty. Germination

To germinate Trachycarpus fortunei seeds, start by soaking seeds in warm water for 5 days to soften the seed coat. After soaking, plant the seeds in a well-draining potting mix, burying them about 1/2 inch deep. Maintain consistent moisture in the soil, keeping it damp but not waterlogged. Place the containers in a warm location with temperatures around 20-25°C (68-77°F) to encourage germination. Trachycarpus fortunei seeds can be slow to germinate, taking several weeks to several months under optimal conditions. Once the seedlings have developed sufficiently, they can be transplanted into individual pots or directly into the garden, where the windmill palm will continue to thrive and enhance outdoor spaces with its distinctive, fan-shaped leaves and hardy, compact trunk.

Good for a while
Pattern Name: Tug Rag
My GSD puppy, at 6 months made shredded leather out of this in a matter of weeks. Initially it was fine but if you spend more than an hour or two playing with your dog, chances are this toy will begin to tear.

Crazy how much our dog loved this
Pattern Name: Tug Rag
It is crazy how much our baby loved this thing. Has held up decently except she chewed off the handle like a goober. Fun to play tug of war with. Soft and safe for teeth. She loves carrying it from room to room, nice and light.
