Its canes produce medium‑to‑large, dark red berries with a classic sweet and juicy flavor that’s highly prized for fresh eating, as well as for freezing, canning, jams, and desserts.
Heritage has a long harvest season, often yielding a moderate crop in midsummer and a heavier crop from late summer into early fall. This variety is generally self‑ pollinating, so it doesn’t require another raspberry nearby to set fruit, though pollinators like bees can help improve yields.
