The Anthurium crystallinum is pure velvet luxury. With deep green, heart-shaped leaves and striking silvery-white veins, it’s a plant that looks like it’s been painted by hand. Native to Central and South America, this collector’s favourite brings jungle elegance to any bright indoor space.
It’s a little fancier than your average houseplant, but worth every bit of care — a real showpiece for tropical plant lovers.
Plant Care
Light: Bright indirect light is ideal, though this plant can handle lower light levels. Be sure that direct sunlight is not hitting the leaves.
Watering: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Little and often is ideal for this plant. so during summer months, about twice a week with half a cup of water, and in winter once a week with half a cup should do the trick.
Temperature: 20 to 30°C is ideal.
Potting: A well-draining chunky mix is ideal. Our Super Chonk or Airy Aroid mix is a great choice.
Hot tips: Humidity is key to maintaining a happy plant here. This is an ideal specimen for a bathroom or greenhouse cabinet as they prefer a minimum humidity over 50% but ideally more.
