This is the smallest size of pumice stones. Most of the plant lovers find this smallest size of Pumice (2 4mm) more suitable for soil conditioning (for mixing in soil) of Cactus, Succulents and other small plants. - Our Old Brand Name - GIFTnPLANTS is now 'DORO KE FYTA'. This is the smallest size of pumice stones. Most of the plant lovers find this smallest size of Pumice (2-4mm) more suitable for soil conditioning (for mixing in soil) of Cactus, Succulents and other small plants.
- If you wish to use for mulching (top soil layer), please do not buy this size of Pumice. As per our opinion, 4-8mm or bigger size of pumice is more suitable for top layer of plants. Mulching of Pumice does not attract fungus or insects.
- These Pumice granules can be used as a better alternative for Perlite. Pumice stones do not break down so easily. Pumice helps plants in faster drainage also. However, Perlite breaks down in powder form easily and may clog the soil drainage. Due to these reasons, most of plant lovers prefer to use pumice stones in potting mix, instead of Perlite.
- Pumice stones have porous composition and they are much lighter than ordinary stones. They contribute in soil aeration also. Pumice improves the quality of soil because of its porous properties. They retain moisture in optimum quantity and provide needful micro-nutrients continuously to plants' roots. Pumice stones ensure proper drainage in soil.
- All needful nutrients can be stored in the small holes of these stones for continuous supply to plants. Use of Pumice stones in potting mix of garden plants is considered as the best choice because it’s fully organic. Some plant lovers have successfully used Pumice (4-8mm or bigger size) for Hydroponic as well.
- Pumice stones are naturally made from volcanic rocks and therefore they are not found naturally in India. These stones are imported from other countries where Volcanoes are available. Pumice stones have been successfully used in Bonsai plantation and other plants in Japan for a long period.
- Ph value of pumice is neutral, it is neither acidic nor alkaline. Pumice stones have a tendency to absorb atmospheric moisture, hence we may observe small droplets inside this pack, as a result of evaporation during hot weather. We have shown here all the 4 sizes of pumice available with us for reference of our customers.
- For experiment, we mixed samples of all four sizes of Pumice stones and tried to submerge in water filled glass pot (image is shown for your reference). We observed that If size of Pumice is big enough (bigger than 15mm), we can easily see most of them floating over water due to light weight and availability of more air cavities inside pumice rocks.
- But, if we break them into smaller pieces, air cavities of pumice gets filled up with water and find it bit difficult to float on water. But surprisingly, more than 50 % of 2-4mm Pumice stones were also seen floating on water surface. Bigger Pumice showed more chances of floating.
- Use for Aquarium: Pumice stones are also used in Aquarium for water purification. Bacterial growth (inside air cavities of Pumice) helps in biological purification of aquarium water. You have to wash it many times before using in aquarium, otherwise water of aquarium may look milky.

Not the best, but not the worst either
Format: Hardcover
By any means not the funniest book in the series, only the one on Krusty the Clown was more un-funny; but still a worthy addition to your collection and, just like all the others from the series providing a retrospective of anecdotes you might have forgotten.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Arrakis Brought to Life: A Stunning Visual Gateway into Dune
Format: Hardcover
‘Dune: The Graphic Novel, Book One’ is an outstanding adaptation that captures the scale, tension, and atmosphere of Frank Herbert’s original novel while making the world of Arrakis far easier to visualize. The artwork does an exceptional job translating Herbert’s dense descriptions into vivid imagery—ornithopters slicing through the desert sky, the oppressive vastness of the sands, and the stark contrast between House Atreides and House Harkonnen all feel instantly real and immersive.
What really shines is how the graphic format clarifies complex scenes and political dynamics without oversimplifying them. Key moments that can be challenging to picture in the prose novel become immediately understandable, helping readers grasp both the physical environment and the emotional weight of the story. Paul’s journey, the looming threat on Arrakis, and the undercurrent of destiny are all conveyed with clarity and restraint.
This is an ideal companion for longtime fans who want a richer visual grounding of the story, as well as for newcomers who may find the original novel intimidating. Faithful, beautifully illustrated, and thoughtfully paced, ‘Dune: The Graphic Novel, Book One’ enhances the experience of Herbert’s masterpiece rather than replacing it and it leaves you eager for the next volume.
