In order for the product to work, Barricade 4FL applications should be made prior to germination of the targeted weeds; it will not kill or prevent weeds after they have already began to develop.
- For control of the following weeds, an application should be made as early as January, or before weeds begin to germinate:
- Crabgrass
- Foxtails
- Goosegrass
- Barnyardgrass
- For control of the following broadleaf weeds, an application should be made in the summer/fall before weeds begin to germinate:
- Henbit
- Chickweed
- Other winter broadleaf weeds
- Poa Annua (Annual Bluegrass) - must apply in late summer to turf that is to not be over seeded before Annual Bluegrass germinates
