Monstera Philodendron is a beautiful houseplant that stands out because of its distinctive, large split leaves. This amazing plant has many different names. These names include split-leaf philodendron, swiss cheese plant, delicious monster, fruit salad plant, monster fruit, monstereo, and Monstera deliciosa.

The monstera is actually not a philodendron at all, but it does look a lot like one with its young, heart-shaped leaves! This plant grows quite large outdoors, but can only grow outdoors in USDA growing zones 10 and 11. It stays much smaller in containers, but it can reach about 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide indoors.

Fortunately, this popular plant is as low maintenance as it is stunning! It requires only minimal care. Water the swiss cheese plant when the soil is dry and feed it every so often for a healthy, happy plant.
